The consumption of social media is increasing day by day. The research shows that over 2.46 billion people are now using social media worldwide. The statistic also showed that 81% of U.S Americans had a social media profile and the number will continue to grow in upcoming years.

Social media networking is one of the most effective marketing activities to get higher user engagement rates.

Honestly, social media management is a full-time job. It can eat up many hours. That is why social media is such a time-consuming activity.

But, what if I give you a social media plan just for 30 minutes a day?

Yes, give me 30 minutes and I will give you social engagement.

Before I tell you exactly how you can spend 30 minutes to get social media engagement, here are some things that you need to do before.

1. Develop a strategy 2. Curate content 3. Customize social media designs

Now, you’ve got a smart social media strategy in hand, and the content is already prepared to be shared or distributed.

Here comes the best part where you prioritize your social media tasks so you will be able to save the valuable time and spend it with your family or to accomplish other business tasks.

SCHEDULE DAILY CONTENT = 9 MINUTES

An hour a week gives an average of 9 minutes a day.

There are two choices. You can either schedule the weekly content on one day (e.g Monday) or schedule it every day. I would definitely recommend taking out an hour to curate and schedule all of your weekly content for social media. You don’t want your readers to go away from your social media account. Keep them engaged with 1-2 pieces of interactive content every day. It’s not possible for you to come online every day, at the specified time, just to share a post.

Use tools like Hootsuite or buffer to plan your weekly content in advance. Facebook offers its own scheduling feature which is free to use. This way,

you can spend enough of your time interacting with people who came to your page.

GIVE REPLIES TO MESSAGES AND COMMENTS = 9 MINUTES

People use social media for instant updates, replies, and queries. You should always spend some time interacting with your followers. If they have left a comment, take a minute or two to respond to them. If they have sent you a message, spend another two minutes to reply to them and give them all the details they need. This should be instant because if you don’t reply immediately, you’ll start losing your followers. They might look for some other businesses that are active on social media.

Try to do a two-way conversation with your social media followers.

MENTION SOMEONE ELSE OR GIVE A RETWEET = 2 MINUTES

Don’t always treat social media as a self-promotional tool. In fact, you should bring awareness to your audience by providing content that’s helpful and more interesting. Every day, find an inspirational idea, image or a piece of content from thoughtful leaders of your industry and share it with your audience.

FOLLOW NEW PEOPLE = 5 MINUTES

Social media is not an immediate overnight success. Follow other new people on social media and see what they are doing. Spend a minute or more to read their content and interact with them. Leave a genuine comment on their accounts and enhance your visibility online.

STUDY THE STATISTICS = 5 MINUTES

If you are on social media, you must have realized how important it is to analyze the performance. You have to study your social media activity every day. You should know what attracts your followers and what engages them. Spend 5 minutes a day or an average of 30 minutes per week to study the social media analytics. This way, you can actually measure the stats and make them better by experimenting new ideas.

Your 30 minutes are over!

So, this is a fast social media plan that you can do in 30 minutes a day. I hope this will help you get social media engagement every day without spending hours and hours of your day.
