We all know that Instagram is the king of engagement. It has the highest engagement rate as compared to other social media platforms. But, don’t stop yourself right there. It’s time to turn your Instagram fans into customers. It’s time to figure out how to sell on Instagram.
Generally, I will talk about ideas that help you learn how to sell on Instagram. Initially, you’ll find an audience and get them on Instagram. The next step breaks down into communication and gets sales from them. Implement Instagram strategies to get an interactive audience and communicate with them.
Obviously, if you have a low ticket item under $1000 vs a high ticket item like real estate property of 1 million dollars, there is a difference between both items and how you market them on social media.
HOW TO SELL ON INSTAGRAM
There’s no straightforward method to get sales from the traffic. That’s why I have created this post to help you with strategies about how to sell on Instagram.
Let’s get started.
HOW TO GET SEEN ON INSTAGRAM
Getting seen on Instagram is based on the visibility of the news feed. That indicates, building an engaged audience is far more important than just increasing the number of followers. The visibility of your brand in the news feed comes from the interactive followers who engage with you by leaving a comment, clicking the heart icon, or even tagging their friends. According to the Instagram algorithm, an account that has maximum followers who aren’t engaged will not index high as compared to the account that has a small but an engaged audience.
If you look at Instgram users, some people have thousands of followers whereas some other people have millions of followers. But, who you talk to and who you communicate with is really important. The interactive audience is the one that keeps your engagement rate high.
Try to just make a huge goal of getting in front of as many audiences as possible. Try to get every follower to like your posts and engage. Try to plan your audience in a more strategic pattern so that you actually get people to engage with you and your brand.
In real estate, there is no point of talking about people who are outside of your community. If you have people who follow you but belong to a different country, they might like a post, or appreciate your images. But, they might
not ask a question related to the real estate property in your area. That shows they are probably not the right audience.
The point is, you need to interact with an audience that makes sense. But, if you have a product that can be shipped anywhere in the world that’s a whole different story.
INTERACTING WITH YOUR AUDIENCE
Interaction only happens when you communicate. The engagement rates become high when you talk to your audience. You have to give them the content they need.
Try to get a two-way conversation with your followers. If someone has followed you, the next step you can do is to visit their profile and leave a ‘thanks for following’ message. Don’t make it automated. Or, give a like to their recent photo.
Always, focus on interaction. Think about different ideas you can use to interact with your audience. Use the Instagram story feature to ask interesting questions on a daily basis. Ask your followers to share their opinions in 3 words.
GETTING FOUND WITH HASHTAGS
Instagram is probably the most popular social media platform to get an audience through hashtags. It’s a great way to get found on Instagram. On Instagram, you will have to insert hashtags that are most relevant to your business. It also helps your targeted audience to find you. As a business owner, you can build a brand around hashtags.
According to Instagram, you can use 30 hashtags in one single post. That’s huge. But, it’s important that you choose the right hashtags for your business.
I would recommend using all 30 hashtags if you can. So, you have to use 5 pre-popular hashtags, 5 geographic hashtags and 20 other hashtags that are based on your industry.
CREATE A SALES PRESENCE
Literally, you have got just 15 seconds to grab someones attention when they first view your profile. The description of yourself and your business on the profile gives the viewers an idea what they will get from you. That’s where the sales process initiates. You have to tell what value you can bring to your followers and how you can do it.
