Social media is a great way to connect with people. Finding new friends and followers. Build your brand as a business. But, there is so much more that you can do once you are able to persuade people into trusting you, following your brand and knowing more about who you are.

So, as we get into being persuasive there are five tips to help you understand how to be persuasive on social media.

1- SHARING REVIEWS AND TESTIMONIES

Everybody loves to get a review. People love to hear appreciation from others. Having a testimony is huge. Just like how Amazon set up the ratings system, leaving reviews on other sites is quick and easy. That’s why YELP is built to get reviews and trust from people who have experienced working with your company before. So, if you don’t have any testimonials yet go and get one for your business. Post results, post feedback and post success stories on your site. Those are huge wins.

Tell the story of your success. Tell the readers how you did such an amazing job and have the client tell the story on behalf of you.

2- EMPHASIZING CUSTOMERS NUMBERS

This really tells us how many people follow us, and how many people like us. That builds the brand and will show how big you are.

If you can speak to the volume of how many people you have been able to help, how many clients you work with, or the total followers you have; you are actually counting the numbers.

Maybe you are new, starting out and you don’t have a lot of success stories but you can build all that over time.

Whether you dominate a county or dominate a neighborhood, you have to use your numbers to justify what it is and how amazing you are. This way, you can separate yourself from the pack.

If you don’t have numbers, work on having the goal to be specific and be #1 in that particular field. Because it’s true that people like success.

People like somebody that has actually done something.

3- TEAM UP WITH AN INFLUENCER

Look for some industry leaders that you can work with locally to help build your brand and team up to influence each other’s demographics. Maybe, you can team up with somebody who’s speaking to a different crowd that you normally do and vice versa so that you guys can share each other’s audiences.

You can probably find someone free or you can trade services to make it work for both of you. But, find out who is the one in your neighborhood that you can work with.

Free Consultation

If you are in real estate, you have landscape people, home builders, community leaders, business owners, etc. Find local people with whom you can collaborate and build your brands together.

Find an influencer that you can partner with to get new traffic.

4- TO GET A VERIFIED BADGE ON YOUR ACCOUNT

Right next to the name on social media accounts there’s a small blue icon that is a gear, check mark or a shield. It basically means that specific social media platforms verified you as a business. They verified your number, address, company info and who you are.

By you being able to get verified by the social media platform, you are going to get more confidence and the trust of the consumers. Having that blue badge means a brand that is trustworthy and loyal. You may need to have thousands of followers to get that badge.

Moreover, it makes it a little easier to get more people vetted so that you can be the #1 agent in the brand you build.

5- HIGHLIGHT CUSTOMER SERVICE TRACK RECORD

Everybody has something that comes up with their customer service. Either a request to get help with something, a question or a complaint. A lot of tech companies deal with this as technology breakdowns and the consumers need help fixing the problem.

As a real estate agent, you will get calls from your clients with problems that they might have with their listing with you. I hope they have your phone number so they can communicate directly with you. But, the last thing you want the client to do is to post a negative review about you on social media. They may not pick up the phone to call you but instead go straight to writing a review so you will have to be prepared for that.

Give them an outlet or the resource to communicate with you when they are venting and mad.

The big one is to provide a messenger option on most platforms. Using a Facebook Messenger app is ideal for every business on Facebook.

Always consider a place where your clients and customers can communicate directly to you to seek help, provide feedback or voice any concerns.

My real outcome on these persuasive tips is to understand that social media is a place of trust and a way to get know the brand. Make sure you portray ethics and standards in your brand. Too often, it comes across how you work with people and grow your brand.
