Ever wondered how you can make your social media story interesting? Engaging with your audience is one thing that most agents struggle with. In this post, we will dive into 3 social media tactics to engage with your audience.

In social media, it’s not just about getting more followers. In fact, a successful social media strategy is one that attracts people to take action. Maybe, they click on your website. Or, share your content. And, even buy something from you.

These social media tactics are not just specific to real estate agents. But, these are equally profitable for every business field you are in. So, maybe you are in accounting, dental, or automobiles. Whatever business you own, there’s going to be a way to apply these social media tactics.

Let’s discuss.

1- Telling outside the box

If you’re in real estate and you say, “my market is boring, flat. There’s nothing going on. I don’t know anything else to talk about”. In that situation, you have to come up with something that people want to hear about. So, you are probably working in a specific geographical area, you need to know that area very well. Everything about it. You can talk about new restaurants, new parks, or the new businesses that are coming.

Talk about those businesses with your social media audience. Maybe, an amazing restaurant has just opened up. Take your viewers to that. There are tons of pizza places in your area. Talk about those in your social media. Why is this pizza place new or different? Why did the guy decide to start a pizza shop in this town?

Tell your audience what’s going on? What’s new? What are people doing in the city? You definitely have something to talk about.

Find out other parallels of your industry. Think about all the different categories that relate to your industry. There are so many things you can do with it.\

2- Have a CALL TO ACTION within your micro-content

You want to make small digestible things on social media. Make small bite sized chunks that you can share with your audience. It can be a quick message that hardly take 2-3 minutes.

But, make sure the content is strong enough that attracts people to take Click to Action (CTA). Imagine, there’s a large funnel. Here you put people according to their interests. There are people at the top of the funnel who aren’t sure if they want to do something. Then, there are also people at the bottom of the funnel who are ready to make a purchase or buy a house.

So, your job is to know how to get people through that funnel. From the very start you will have to attract the people at the bottom so they take action and buy a product or service.

Think of a small call to action that will get your audience to participate. Just start thinking about the different call to actions that you might use in your social media. You have to get people to move to the very bottom of the funnel and start one-on-one work with you. Basically, you have to help your audience make their decisions. Pro tip: If you work in real estate, you need to work with investors who buy on a regular basis. Investors are huge. They know how to win regular clients.

3- Connect the real-time with live video

At The Orange Stack, we talk about video all the time. We create Vlogs to educate you all. To help your business grow.

The videos are huge. Facebook loves to promote videos. Facebook users love to watch videos. The more videos, the better. The Live video is a big thing to interact with people.

You have an app on your phone called ‘Facebook’. Open it up. Go to Facebook Live and record! Start sharing your content. However, what to do on your video is another social media trick. Every time you hit record, there’s another effort you’re making to create good content for your audience.

So, if you are holding open houses go and preview the property beforehand, on a Sunday or Monday and invite people to check out the property. Most homes are listed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. You can pick Thursday and record a whole bunch of content. Tell your audience that you are doing a small tour to let you clients know about the open houses. Provide a beautiful look into the new homes available in the market to your targeted audience. Ask questions like which house would you like to see? Give them a live tour about a new house and interact with them. Tell them about the kitchen, accessories, backyard and other things that might interest them.

With live videos, you can show your clients a house without asking them to leave their homes and work. Maybe, you visit the new pizza place and turn on your Facebook Live. Interview the visitors. Maybe, you interview the restaurant owner with a live camera.

Facebook Live is huge. Instagram too has a live feature which you can use. Twitter and YouTube also have live features. I definitely recommend Facebook Live to get started with live streaming.

Find your best work and put it on Facebook to let the world see your work. You can also pay $20 to Facebook to increase your reach.

Finally, Most people struggle with social media and they hardly come up with the content their audience would love to watch. Try to experiment with different things and do. A/B test to figure out what works best for your audience. Make your content business related. Use your Facebook business page to tell your story. People would love to see such content.
