If you are in a business, an email list is of great importance to your business growth. An email list is a direct method of interacting with your readers. You can say exactly what you want to say to your readers. You listen to their concerns and provide them the secret sauce ingredients.
Even if you don’t have an email list, this post will help you create an email list and learn how to monetize your email list. You’ll also get to know how to take value from an email list.
Some people still think that email is dead. I believe it’s still a great way to send out your message to the ones who are actually interested in listening to you. Here, we will talk about the use of email list with social media marketing.
1- CREATE AN EMAIL LIST
It starts with a lead magnet campaign. Basically, you are trying to direct people to a landing page to get them sign up for your newsletter.
You may be wondering, ‘How do I get my audiences email address to provide some value?’. First, think about something that is in your business that you can provide value on. So, whether it’s a list of homes that are coming soon or video series that teaches on how to become a competitive buyer or seller in this market.
Just think about the value you can provide to your potential clients in hope to get an email address from them.
Usually, Facebook offers a pretty simple lead form that you can create directly to collect email address, name, phone number etc. But, I would highly recommend creating a separate landing page if you've got a small budget. At first, create a landing page, drives traffic to it and collects an email address in exchange for something highly valuable. Maybe a report, a video, a list of things etc. Once you’ve designed a landing page, create a post and explain to your potential clients what they will get if they provide an email address. You can probably target a certain number of home buyers or owners in a certain neighborhood to work with you. Maybe, that’s your first campaign.
Afterwards, when somebody signs up for the email campaign you can trigger the results based off that. You can even trigger the people that visit the landing page but don’t submit their email address.
2- TRACK THE PEOPLE THAT SIGN UP
This step is about creating another campaign about people who signed up. You can obviously start sending them newsletters on a regular basis. Start putting content in front of them on a regular basis through a system like Constant Contact or MailChimp. You can easily set up these email systems on your own. These are mostly free or totally affordable.
Try to get some good reach. Try to get some good people clicking on your articles. A good open rate on an email database is about 20-25%. Some people struggle down to 7% and there are also people who have an open rate of 80%.
So, you really want to know your audience and what they would want to hear from you. Another important thing is to focus on your email title and what you put inside to get people to learn from you.
Once they have signed up for your newsletter and they start getting your content consider Facebook. You are going to be able to create a re-targeting campaign and give them some more value. But you have to decide what value you are going to put on Facebook in front of your clients who are opening your emails and engaging.
So, the process involves creating an email list, having sign-ups for the newsletter, and putting content in front of them. Then, you put a new ad in their Facebook timeline that tells them what you do and what you offer.
Basically, your compelling ad should get them to call you, or message or send an email inquiring more about the information related to houses or whatever business you are running.
That’s how you can build your email list, re-target your email list and how you have closed them on the back end.
It’s basically a matter of putting content in front of interested people who want to work with you. It’s the content that they want to see, learn and actually participate in.
