In this post, I will tell you how to promote your blog posts on social media.

Most people have a separate blog page to promote traffic and encourage site visits. Create a section on your website to hold your blog and then drive traffic to it being able to re-target later. So, we will discuss different social media platforms for marketing purposes.

1- FACEBOOK

Facebook has got the largest following of any other platforms. Facebook is great because you can actually drive traffic to a blog page specifically with the ad platform that they have set up. First, create your ad and pick out the targeted audience. Let’s say if you’re talking about something specific try to build an audience around that blog post and drive traffic to that. Maybe, you write about real estate but you are specifically talking about golfers in relation to real estate so you have to target golfing not bicycling or fishing. So you have to target golfers because they are more likely to read it than anybody else.

Next comes keywords, pictures, and post descriptions to attract readers to engage. The Facebook post doesn’t have to use the same image you add in the blog post. It can just be a beautiful picture that captures people’s attention and then you have an ideal amount of words that are going to capture the audience who are reading it. You have to make people take a call-to-action that says click to learn more or read more about this blog.

Ideally, you want to publish Facebook posts between 1:00-4:00 pm and then between 6:00-10:00 pm because that’s when the most engagement happens.

Facebook is the number one place to start promoting your content. On Facebook, your impressions to get people to see the post will be super affordable like .03-.05 cents per impression to get people to actually come and see your blog and what have you written.

You can set up a business page or advertise your blog in Facebook groups to get attention. Find the groups that are based on your blog content which will help to get more people to your website.

2- TWITTER

What are you going to promote on Twitter?

It’s a 140 character minimum amount of space to use. You are going to take advantage of hashtags. As you will be having a short amount of space to write, have a short URL, incorporate relevant keywords so that you can drive traffic to your blog. You can actually shorten the URL using different tools. Try to take advantage of the real estate space that you have on Twitter. Again, you are going to add a beautiful picture, a clickable call-to-action, and a strong short sentence to attract reader’s attention.

3- LINKEDIN

LinkedIn is not just a place to put your resume and hope that you get a job. LinkedIn is another form of content sharing. If you are writing a lot of blog content you definitely want to share these articles on your personal profile, or business page. You have to put your content out there so that people will engage with you every time you post something new. It’s a great way to reach those members that are on LinkedIn. People often times just double check what you say on LinkedIn to validate who you are.

You have an ideal opportunity to capture reader’s attention with a post on there with a beautiful picture. LinkedIn is just an evergreen type of place where people search for good content so definitely take advantage of your LinkedIn audience. Another great thing that LinkedIn is powerful for is how-to guides. Just think of how-to-topics and add more bullet points to accomplish things.

4- PINTEREST

Pinterest is all about beautiful pictures. It captures people attention with the image. You really don’t have any text to capture people reading you are just scrolling through pictures. Your picture doesn’t always have to be about the subject that you are talking about. Basically, you have to engage the people. On Pinterest, you keep the image description to about 150 to 300 words. Be sure to add your blog post URL with the image.

5- INSTAGRAM

Instagram is another photo-rich place where you have to put the best photo that your audience remembers.

Some quick tips for posting on Instagram;

-Keep the image square

-Use an interesting picture

-Try to keep the text under 155 characters.

-Add a click to action

-Use relevant hashtags

By adding a stunning image on Instagram, you can direct traffic to your blog.

Every one of these social media platforms or profiles have a beautiful picture on there but it’s what you say in the message that counts.

I highly recommend a blog if you are not already doing it. If you are better on video, do a Vlog. It’s sometimes easier than having to write out everything. So, start a Vlog or blog and share engaging content that’s interesting to people that follow you as an expert and get some awesome results.
