When looking for clients for your business, who you work with matters. Trying to work with and please everyone sounds like it will grow your business, but the opposite is true. By setting up your ideal client, you will actually see many more benefits. Here are some different ways to attract your perfect client, and also how to market to them as well.
1. Be an expert in your area.
To be able to service certain clientele, you need to be an expert in your area. Get to know your business and pick a niche that you are the most knowledgeable in. For example, that might be first time home buyers programs, or a certain area in town that you know very well. By finding a niche that you know the most about, you are able to speak more intelligently on the subject, which makes you sound more professional in your business. Trying to cover every aspect and topic of the business can come across to vague to potential customers. Once you determine what area you have the most expertise in, you can begin to narrow down who you want to work with in your business.
2. Find out who your ideal client is
In order to find out who your ideal client is, it’s best to know the age group, and demographics of where they are coming from or where they are looking at. How soon are they wanting to make a purchase? Once you have your ideal client in mind, you can start to market to that specific group of people. Another thing to figure out is who you're set up to serve. For example, If you are new to the business and not comfortable listing homes, focus on marketing to buyers.
3. Who do you not want to serve?
Once you have discovered the ideal clients that you want to work with, be comfortable telling people out of your demographics no, and referring them to someone else. By saying no, you will get more business because you're going to know who you want to work with, and you will be better able to help those that in your area of expertise. By focusing on your ideal clients, you will be able to better service them and build a reputable business.
4. The questions to ask to identify the perfect client.
When determining if a potential client is the right client for you, be sure to ask yourself certain questions. Do they have the right age demographic? Are they located in the area I service? Do I want to take on clients outside of my known area? Are they buying or selling? These questions will determine if the potential client is the right fit for you.
5. Finding the lead gen system that best attracts the clients you're looking for
Finding a lead gen that is popular among the group of clients you want to attract is important. Do your research and find out what marketing platform reaches your targeted audience the best. For example, you may find that marketing on SnapChat is better if you are wanting to work with a younger group of people. Facebook is excellent if you're targeting a middle aged clientele. Marketing on the sites and places that your demographics of clients are will save you time and energy. You will no longer need to try and market to every age range, on every site. By narrowing it down to attract just the customers you want, you will be able to grow your business quicker. It will also save you money by not wasting it on platforms that don't get you the clients you want.
