With around 400,000 real estate agents in the United States, breaking into the real estate business and standing out can seem impossible. While the real estate market is very crowded, it is still possible to grow your brand and continue to find new clients. If you are struggling to get noticed, there are simple steps you can take to make the process less stressful. Digital marketing is all about positioning your message or brand at the right time to the right people, but how do you do that?

The best way to reach people and get your name out there is to have a big online presence. Facebook for example generates a ton of business, and posting ads is extremely affordable. With Facebook ads you can also set certain demographics like age range, location, and even certain interests. Be sure to make your Facebook ad creative, and add a photo or video that stands out and makes people intrigued to look into your business further. Being active on your Facebook and social media accounts is important as well. The more you post and engage with your audience the more comfortable they will feel to reach out when the time is right. If you have multiple social media sites, tools like Hootsuite are a great resource to use to keep your pages current. Hootsuite lets you link your social media profiles and schedule posts throughout the day, and even the week. This is an amazing recourse because it posts content at the times you choose so you can focus on other aspects of your business like meeting with clients and showing homes.

Engaging with your audience online is also huge. Be sure to post interesting content and ask people what they think or how they feel about it. You can post certain kitchen designs or current stats for the area you are targeting. Replying to comments on your posts from people, and having conversations will make potential clients feel that you are personable. Be sure to post testimonials from clients on your Facebook page to let potential clients see that you are a trustworthy agent. Getting subscribers to your email list is a strong indication that your content is useful and relevant. It’s also the best way to cultivate your leads. As more people sign up for your subscriber list, you’ll be able to target your communications more strategically to uncover new homebuyers and sellers. Adding an About You page to your website with information about who you are and what your business morals are is a great way for attracting potential customers. You can either write out your About Me section or you can add a video, which will give your website that personal touch that attracts clients almost instantly. Be sure to include specific details in your about me, like what sets you apart from other agents in the area and your work ethic. Following these simple tips for navigating your way through the crowded market that is real estate, you will be sure to gain more clients and grow your business with confidence.
